Hurricane Bill Projected Path

Hurricane Bill projected path is being tracked very closely, since this is the first serious hurricane in the Atlantic in the 2009 hurricane season. As of 11am of today (Monday, August 17, 2009) Hurricane Bill is located roughly 1080 miles east of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean but the projected path points west-northwest, towards Bermuda.
It is expected that Hurricane Bill will miss closely Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands, but these areas may experience heavy rainfall and it is advised that people there monitor hurricane tracks. This in particular goes for visitors and residents of Bermuda as Hurricane Bill is heading that way. The tracking of Hurricane Bill by National Hurricane Center so far suggests that the storm will reach its peak mid week (Wednesday) with chances of growing up to the category 3 hurricane with winds reaching sustain speed of 125 mph. It will weaken a little by the time Hurricane Bill reaches Bermuda on Saturday. The picture of Hurricane Bill projected path as provided by National Hurricane Center is above.
